Guys, theres a BI|G PROBLEM in your software.
Your game is causing my nvidia GTS250 videocard to overheat in seconds. IM SERIOUS.
Yesterday i just caught my sister playing cut n paste, and the videocard´s fan was SPINNING REALLY FAST.
So i checked the temperature, and it was at 71 celsius (the suport from Elite Group company told me it reached 70 on stress tests).
Then i tested a heavier game, Burnout Paradise, 1024 x 768, high settings, and i got to race a lot of times in order to purposedly overcharge my GPU and measure temperature.
Burnout Paradise took some minutes to heat it from 50c (idle) to 62 celsius full load...
CUT N PASTE took seconds to make it overheat to 65, then i stopped cuz i dont wanna screw my videocard.
Are you sure you didnt leave any function on an infinite loop?
Its not normal... its triggering something which is causing it to overheat, or else your method is completely primitive and youre forcing some situation based on brute force, and then my videocard was paying for that.
Also theres no EULA, and nothing specifying any warrants at all, good or bad.
Take care of that please. Or else a user can sue you because of that, and he will win for sure.
I know right now youre a small company, but what the hell... my card was expensive and it was burning in a way i never saw before.
God knows how much time my sister played it. Thank god nothing wrong happened to the card.
First of all, sorry for your trouble.
In fact, we also got shocked to see your experience. We never expected to meet such situation. Could be very frustating, as we guess.
We don't have every system to test, however we tried several computers. Some are old school desktop, some are laptop(netbook). Our team tested & played with our own computers, including personal ones. And asked some friends to play it, who might have different systems. We even submitted to IGF, and their judge might play our games with different systems. Up to now more than 3,000 people downloaded this game, and this is 1st. overheat report among them.
Of course, that doesn't mean your experience is not painful. Sorry about that once again. We know PC could have several various situation, and there could be some or few exceptions.
We'd try our best to find problems & solutions. Not sure when it will be finished, however we'd try.
Thanks for your report once again.
