Jordan Devore wrote an
article about our full release of Cut & Paste.
He especially loved our start menu music. :)

I don't know if this is only me,
but I like it that the graphics are always praised when Cut & Paste is shown in positive light.

As the news said, we finished the final version of Cut & Paste.
You can download our game right now!

And thanks to Mr. Devore again.

Cut & Paste in gamespot.com

No category | 2010/02/04 00:51 | Sun yong Park

Gamespot.com
mentioned Cut & Paste as 'Weekend on PC' at 15.jan.

(Right around 0:44)

At first, we thought someone interested in the game had uploaded it,
but we were surprised that it was actually a proper feature.

Looking at the intro page, I'd say that build_091115 was reviewed.

Final update for IGF

Cut & Paste (2009) | 2010/01/10 23:31 | Sun yong Park

We have uploaded the final update for IGF.
(IGF allows the contestants to update their submissions before it announces the finalists.)

This version features fewer bugs, an opening movie, and more puzzles.

We will be releasing our final version of Cut & Paste
(which will be even better than the IGF one!)
on Jan. 26, our last (scheduled) day of development.

We came up with that date to submit the game to
Experimental Game Play Workshop. We will also be submitting our previous project, Eyeless.

Here are screen shots of current version.

Technical notice : Cut & Paste

Cut & Paste (2009) | 2009/11/23 00:55 | Sun yong Park

Today we received complaints about

the game not running in some systems running Windows 7.

We are (frantically) looking for the cause, but because of our development schedule, we do not know if we can fix this problem in a short while.
One thing we are sure of is, though, that the game runs fine in Vista or XP.

Also, the full version, set for release early 2010,
will be about three times longer than the current build.
We are not yet considering a commercial version of Cut & Paste.

Cut & Paste is now also introduced in
gamesetwatch.com!
It feels good to know that more are more people are watching us.

One thing to note, though, was their mentions about our team's name, Turtle Cream. We envisioned a turtle that has a slob of cream on it instead of a shell.

But for some reason (and we suspect it is because of the order of those two words), people are thinking of a cream made of fine turtle grindings. Oh well, we like our name better as it is.

And, we still weren't able to find a stable server dedicated to distributing Cut & Paste. Any help everyone?

A few hours ago, Jordan Devore from the site mentioned some games participating in the 2010 IGF Student Competition.
And among the few games that received the spotlight was Cut & Paste, along with a screenshot!
We here at turtle cream are starting to feel happier already.

One more thing :
We will be showcasing Cut & Paste at G-Star.
Be sure to make it there!

(For those unfamiiar with the Korean game scene, G-Star is an annual game expo here. This year, it will be held in Busan, from Nov. 26 to 29.)

Guys, theres a BI|G PROBLEM in your software.

Your game is causing my nvidia GTS250 videocard to overheat in seconds. IM SERIOUS.

Yesterday i just caught my sister playing cut n paste, and the videocard´s fan was SPINNING REALLY FAST.

So i checked the temperature, and it was at 71 celsius (the suport from Elite Group company told me it reached 70 on stress tests).

Then i tested a heavier game, Burnout Paradise, 1024 x 768, high settings, and i got to race a lot of times in order to purposedly overcharge my GPU and measure temperature.

Burnout Paradise took some minutes to heat it from 50c (idle) to 62 celsius full load...

CUT N PASTE took seconds to make it overheat to 65, then i stopped cuz i dont wanna screw my videocard.

Are you sure you didnt leave any function on an infinite loop?

Its not normal... its triggering something which is causing it to overheat, or else your method is completely primitive and youre forcing some situation based on brute force, and then my videocard was paying for that.

Also theres no EULA, and nothing specifying any warrants at all, good or bad.

Take care of that please. Or else a user can sue you because of that, and he will win for sure.

I know right now youre a small company, but what the hell... my card was expensive and it was burning in a way i never saw before.

God knows how much time my sister played it. Thank god nothing wrong happened to the card.

First of all, sorry for your trouble.

In fact, we also got shocked to see your experience. We never expected to meet such situation. Could be very frustating, as we guess.

We don't have every system to test, however we tried several computers. Some are old school desktop, some are laptop(netbook). Our team tested & played with our own computers, including personal ones. And asked some friends to play it, who might have different systems. We even submitted to IGF, and their judge might play our games with different systems. Up to now more than 3,000 people downloaded this game, and this is 1st. overheat report among them.

Of course, that doesn't mean your experience is not painful. Sorry about that once again. We know PC could have several various situation, and there could be some or few exceptions.

We'd try our best to find problems & solutions. Not sure when it will be finished, however we'd try.

Thanks for your report once again.
